Rena Goichberg
Born in New York City, I began piano lessons at the age of 7. My home is now N.W. Tucson where I teach out of my home studio - Music For The Master Ministries.
I have been teaching classical piano for the past 30 or so years. But in 1992, after meeting the Master(Jesus), my passion turned to filling the enormous need I saw in the local churches for live contemporary worship. Classical piano teachers do not traditionally teach this very different style of playing. In fact I could not find anyone who was teaching it. So I began to develop my own unique method. It is a simple accompaniment style on the piano that is quickly and easily learned, even by those with no previous musical training. Adults, teens, even children can do it. It's fun, and best of all, it works! With it I have successfully equipped many churches and outreaches in the Tucson area with live accompanists and worship leaders. Writing our own songs (the psalmist gift) also flows readily from this basic accompaniment style. What a joy to see my students equipped and released in this way!
I myself have ministered in local churches as a worship leader and psalmist. My own original songs are soon to be heard on a new website, **** Look for it this November, if not sooner.
