Matthew Vitti
Baritone Matthew Vitti received a Bachelor's of Music in Voice Performance from Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. Matthew's recital engagements include performances throughout the Midwest and East coast as well as abroad in Italy and Austria. In 2003 and 2005, Matthew took first place in the NATS Competition Wisconsin Chapter. Past opera experience includes Aeneas, Dido and Aeneas, Dr. Malatesta, Don Pasquale, The Son/Chorus, Les Mamelles de Tirésias and Count Almaviva in the Final scene of Act II in Le Nozze di Figaro.com/b.
Aside from solo performing, Matthew performs regularly with choirs throughout New York City and Connecticut. Regular engagements include the Pro Arte Singers, New York Concert Chorale and the Queens College Choral Society. In addition to professional choral singing, Matthew offers his services to countless churches within the tristate area.
Having studied with numerous teachers, such as Arthur Sj๖gren, Kent Smith, Russell Ryan and Kenneth Bozeman, as well as participating in master classes with Dale Duesing, Warren Jones, Karen Brunssen, Dr. Karen Bauer and Helen Boatwright, Matthew has had years of access to a plethora of technical and performance insight.
Matthew has been teaching voice and music theory for six years and is a frequent substitute teacher at New Canaan High School in the choral department.c
