Molly McLaughlin
Molly McLaughlin received her Bachelor's of Music in Flute Performance from the Hartt School of Music, where she studied with John Wion. During her time at Hartt, Molly won the grand prize in the vanRooy Competition for Musical Excellence and performed with the Miami String Quartet, the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, Contemporary Players Ensemble, and was a member of the honors chamber music program, Performance 20/20. After graduating in 2006, Miss McLaughlin was fortunate enough to spend a month on the road with 70's rock band, Jethro Tull. Recently, Molly has been studying traditional Irish music by completing a residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Ireland and by studying traditional Irish flute with Grey Larsen. Miss McLaughlin is a certified Suzuki flute instructor and teaches traditional flute lessons as well. Molly is currently working on her Master's degree at the California Institute of the Arts.
