Jacquelyn Familant
I have been teaching privately for eight years and my students range from budding soloists in high school to retirees that finally have the time to pursue their beloved hobby. I also have students in the best music conservatories, as well as performing on the world's stages. As an active performer, I am able to instruct beginners to advanced-level students in a healthy vocal technique that will support them in every genre of music: classical, opera, Musical Theater, Broadway, operetta, jazz, rock, folk, etc. I also work with corporate professionals, who seek development and improvement with their speech and presentation skills.
I work extensively on breath support, range development, vocal placement, and diction. I also promote "easy" singing through vocal and physical exercises. I address and solve technical issues such as spotty intonation, vocal tiredness and faulty breath support. Most importantly, I help the student develop naturally in a positive, nurturing and gentle environment.
If you are interested in starting vocal lessons, bringing your intermediate skills to the next level, or you are a professional in need of coaching for auditions, performances, or presentations I welcome your email inquiries!
