Sandy Cressman
Sandy Cressman is that rare combination of performer and educator, recording and performing with her acclaimed ensemble “Homenagem Brasileira”, working as a session singer, maintaining a busy vocal studio, and teaching workshops in ConnectedVoice technique and Brazilian Vocal Jazz.
Cressman’s continuing work as a performer and studio vocalist has informed her approach to vocal education towards creating the sounds and skills necessary for today’s young vocalists and for their longevity. Cressman calls her technique “ConnectedVoice”, a healthy approach to voice based on her extensive training in Bel Canto, Speech Level and other techniques.
Cressman has taught vocal technique, vocal jazz and brazilian singing at Cornish Institute of the Arts,JazzCampWest, Institut GreenVoices(Munich), American School of Modern Music(Paris), California Brazil Summer Camp, A Cappella Summit, the VoiceProject(Seattle),Blue Bear School of Music, and Speech Level Singing Institute.
