Jenny Matteucci
Soprano Jenny Matteucci hails from Davis, California where she grew up with her musical family singing and performing in local and professional theater. After graduating she moved to San Francisco to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She soon became active in the San Francisco Theater and cabaret scene. Jenny’s roles include Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, Carrie in Carousel, Ginny Jenny in The Three Penny Opera. Other performances include Sunday in the Park with George with Theater Works, My One and Only and Little Mary Sunshine with Jack Brooks. After many stints as a singing waitress, she was cast in Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon where she was a featured performer wearing many of the largest hats. Jenny has also been seen in concert series and dedication concerts throughout the Bay Area. She has recently been featured in Love is in the Air, Bernstein on Broadway, Pure Gershwin and the Words and Music series for Marin Theater Company.Ms. Matteucci is currently the music director and conductor of The Broadway Chorus of Tri-Valley Repertory Company. The Broadway Chorus is an 75+ member chorus singing the classic and contemporary music of Broadway.Jenny and her Husband are known as the "Matlock Duo" which performs cabaret around the bay area and beyond. For the past twenty years, Jenny has had the pleasure of directing choirs for local Oakland Diocese churches, where she also enjoys the ministry of cantoring and is currently serving as Music Director for St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Clayton. Jenny is presently furthering her own vocal studies with remowned local star Pamela Brooks of Walnut Creek. As a voice teacher, Jenny has enjoyed many students of all ages and enjoys teaching both classical and theater repertoire. Mostly, she is dedicated to teaching the love of singing and cultivating healthy relaxed singers. She lives in Alameda with her two teenagers Will and Beth and her husband and accompanist Daniel Lockert.
