Joy Elizabeth Ellsworth
Joy Ellsworth has been a contributing member of the music community in the Kansas City area since 2003, when she and her husband moved to Johnson County to be closer to family. Volunteer activity has always been close to Joy's heart, and she regularly helps fledgling flutists "find their wings" at elementary schools in numerous Johnson County school districts. As a member of the Kansas City Flute Association, Joy is on the judging panel for the KCFA's annual solo competition. Joy has been steadily teaching private lessons and volunteering her time to musical youth since 1997.
